Frequently Asked Questions about Gold Parties

Q.  As a hostess, do I make any money?
A.  Yes!  The hostess earns 10% of all the checks written at the party.  We are also committed to charitable organizations and helping them to raise money by doing gold party fundraisers.

Q.  Is there a minimum number of guests required for a party?
A.  No.  However, the more gold sold, the more money the hostess or charity earns.  We suggest that you invite as many as 20 to 30 guests and expect about half of them to attend.

Q.  How do I prepare for my gold party?
A.  Your Gold Specialist will send you an invitation via email.  Simply forward the invitation to your family and friends, or print it out and mail it.  We leave the advertising and promotion up to you.  Remember…the more gold bought, the more money you make.  If someone cannot make it, but has gold, ask them to leave the gold with you and someone will call them with the price.

Q.  What space requirements are needed by the Gold Specialist?
A.  The only items required are a table, chair, good lighting, and an outlet.  It is up to you if you would like the Gold Specialist to be in a separate room, or the center of attention.

Q.  How is the gold tested?
A.  Gold is tested and weighed right in front of you using the industry’s best equipment by a trained Gold Specialist.  We can explain the process to you and your guests as we are weighing and pricing the gold at the party.  Also, we never pressure anyone to sell their gold.

Q.  Will my guests be paid a fair price?
A.  Yes!  We pay at least and often higher than what you would get at a jewelry store, pawn shop, or internet site.  Most people are pleasantly surprised at the amount of money they get for their old gold.

Q.  How do you base your payout on the gold?
A.  The price you see in the paper and on the internet is the price of PURE 24kt gold (Troy oz.).  Troy ounces weigh considerably more than what we are familiar with.  The market rate for gold changes daily.  We use the current day’s market rate of gold for your party.

Q.  Do you remove the stones?
A.  We will remove stones if they are on prongs.  We try to be as gentle as possible when removing any stones, but we are not jewelers.  There is no guarantee that the stone will not be chipped or scratched.  We do buy gold with the stones, but only pay for the weight of the gold.  We suggest that if someone wants their stones; take the piece to their jeweler before the party to have it removed.

Q.  What happens to the jewelry after you buy it?
A.  It is sent to a refinery to be melted and turned into gold bars.

Q.  Is there a particular day or evening that works best to host a party?
A.  It depends on your group of friends and family and their schedules.  There is no particular day or time that works better than another.  We’ve had successful parties every night of the week!

Please feel free to contact your Golden Opportunities, Inc Gold Specialist with any questions at any time.  We look forward to working with you and appreciate your business!
